VP - Credit Risk Controlling
Frankfurt The Credit Risk Controlling team is based in Frankfurt and Luxembourg and is part of the Firmwide Legal Entity Credit Risk function.
The Credit Risk Controlling function has oversight of all aspects of the Credit Risk governance and limits framework including:
* Policy, including governance for approvals, reporting and escalations of limits
* Risk Appetite & portfolio limits determination, calibration and monitoring
* Implementation of appropriate risk measures to capture and quantify credit exposures at portfolio level
* Determination and review of regular and ad-hoc credit risk reporting
* Drive the risk inventory process including the identification and quantification of material risks
* Stress testing - review of quarterly stress testing results, and presentation to the local Risk Oversight Committee; review of scenario adequacy for the legal entity portfolio
* Ensure economic capital requirements are appropriately quantified, and are adequately understood to drive decision-making
* Oversight of collateral standards
* Oversight of IFRS 9 provisioning methodology, including review of scenarios & their weightings; determination of management adjustments which are relevant for the underlying portfolio
* Ensuring new activities and/or products are subject to adequate Credit Risk Control review and, where necessary, establish new procedures and controls prior to being introduced into the entity.
Requirements
* Relevant experience of risk management or related discipline in a top tier peer bank
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education in a quantitative discipline
* High level of product knowledge of credit and counterparty credit risk products including exposure, capital, stress testing
* Excellent partnership and team management skills, with ability to work closely with senior management and key stakeholder functions,
* Good understanding of the relevant regulatory environment
* Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills
