My client is one of the country's leading corporate restructuring specialists and is looking to bring an associate onto their Restructuring team in Chicago. This new hire will have the opportunity to work on providing restructuring, private equity advisory, and post-merger integration services. The team is looking to bring someone on ASAP due to increased deal flow. This hire would have the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility while having the opportunity to be continue learning and developing throughout their tenure with the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, due diligence, and market research to support client engagements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction strategies
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations, offering memoranda, and other communication materials
- Participate in client meetings, providing insightful recommendations and solutions
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments to inform advisory services
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and building client relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA or CFA is a plus
- 3+ years of relevant experience in restructuring, private equity, investment banking, or consulting
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with executives
