A leading financial services firm based out of Chicago, IL is looking to add a Senior Associate to their Private Equity team. The Private Equity team manages north of $6 billion in assets and invests across primary investments, secondary investments, and co-investments. The team is looking to bring on an Senior Associate to the secondaries team to take ownership of this strategy and take lead on the deployment of a new secondaries fund this year. This is a great opportunity to gain a tremendous amount of hands-on transaction experience while getting to have an impact on the build-out of their secondaries team.
The Private Equity Senior Associate will be responsible for:
- Building of excel based models to value operating companies, funds, portfolios and preferred structures
- Coordinate with other strategy groups (Funds, Direct Investments, Credit, Venture, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Public Markets) on investment opportunities
- Lead evaluation and analysis of secondary transactions assets across stages (i.e., buyout, venture, growth equity, etc.), industries and geographies
- Prepare and present due diligence materials and investment committee memos
The Private Equity Senior Associate should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of investment banking experience performing M&A or secondary investments with a reputable middle market bank
- Bachelor's Degree with top academic performance
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office, corporate finance, and excel valuation modeling
