Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain deal pipeline database, assisting in the identification and evaluation of potential investment opportunities
- Prepare investment memoranda, developing and communicating investment theses to senior team members, and conducting detailed valuation analyses to support and inform LOI submission
- Create financial models, forecasts, and returns analysis
- Conducting and managing preliminary and post-LOI due diligence efforts and execution of transactions with all parties involved (due diligence providers, consultants, legal counsel, investors, management teams, etc.)
- Managing lender relationships to address debt-financing alternatives
- Supporting the financial, operational, and M&A needs of portfolio company management teams in execution of investment theses
- Support fundraising efforts through building relationships with existing and potential investors, responding to questions, and other requests as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree with a strong academic record
- 2-5 years of investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or consulting experience
- Past experience and interest working with one or more transportation, logistics, supply chain and distribution sectors
- Willingness to be located in the Washington, D.C. metro area
- Ability to travel approximately 10-25%, on average
