Selby Jennings has partnered with a US based Asia focused L/S equity hedge fund with an exceptional track record since inception in seeking a junior trader to join their Hong Kong team.
The fund is actively expanding in Asia and is looking to deploy more capital in the region.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Asia Head of Trading and Global Head of Trading to develop the regional trading infrastructure.
- Place orders for equities, currencies, futures and options in HK, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and India
- Manage relationships with sell-side - Trading, Prime Brokerage and ECM
- Assist in currency hedging for Portfolio Managers
- Update internal stakeholders on new macro and micro developments in the Asia markets
Requirements
- 3 years of experience at a top tier buyside/sellside firm in a sales trading/execution trading function
- Near Native English is a must; an Asian language is a plus
- Ability to work in a lean team with minimal guidance
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships with all senior stakeholders
