Selby Jennings has partnered with a Pan Asia LO fund with 20+ years of track record. The firm is currently seeking a junior analyst to identify quality businesses across the Japan markets using a fundamentally driven and deeply analytical approach.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the MDs and provide detailed research and analysis on Japanese stocks to recommend investment opportunities to the CIO
- Conduct detailed analysis of company reports and build complex financial models to support investment recommendations
- Evaluate business models and economic conditions that impact companies under coverage
- Conduct company management meetings and conferences
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience within financial services (asset management, investment bank or private equity) or management consulting analyzing companies in Japan
- Fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written) is required
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial modeling and financial statements
- Ability to communicate effectively and express complex ideas succinctly
