An Elite Proprietary trading firm, based in Austin, is seeking an experienced High-Performance Computing (HPC) engineer who can make significant contributions to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, optimise, and support high-performance computing and storage solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Directly support the Research domain, driving innovation and efficiency, by providing robust, scalable systems used by all trading teams within the firm.
- Conduct core research on CPU and GPU engineering
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to system performance
Skills Required:
- Advanced degree in computer science, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in HPC research/engineering
- High Performance Computing - A deep understanding of High-Performance Computing concepts including parallel programming models like CUDA/OpenCL/MPI/ OpenACC etc., algorithm optimisation techniques used by scientific applications running on distributed memory architectures are essential requirements.
- CPU/GPU Engineering - Experience designing hardware acceleration software stacks would significantly add value since it's becoming increasingly critical across various industries today.
- Troubleshooting Skills - They should demonstrate proficiency identifying bugs/errors/failures which contribute towards poor application/system behaviour.
This role must sit out of the firms Austin, TX office, working in person 5 days per week.
