Head of Web Scraping
Job Description:
My client is seeking an experienced Head of Web Scraping to join their lean and agile team. My client is a $20 billion multi-strategy hedge fund based in New York that has been trading for over 20 years. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field who can build a new and next generation web scraping platform at the fund. Given this, you will have the autonomy to design the strategy, have the ability to lead a team, while being at the forefront of the direction of data technology at the fund.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a web scraping platform at the fund.
- Develop and implement web scraping strategies.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Architect and design distributed data systems.
- Manage a team of web scraping engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in web scraping.
- Expertise in Python, SQL databases, and AWS cloud with 3+ years of experience with each.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
