Location: Boston or Fort Lauderdale

My client, a leading direct lending firm, specializes in providing first lien, senior debt financing to middle market companies in the U.S. lower middle market. $7 billion in AUM
Primary Responsibilities
- Cultivate and nurture sponsor relationships to generate deal flow.
- Evaluate and pinpoint attractive transaction opportunities for pursuit.
- Oversee the internal investment approval process, including presenting analyses and materials to the investment committee.
- Develop transaction structures and negotiate deal terms with sponsors and borrowers.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts, including organizing external diligence meetings and calls.
- Lead the review and negotiation of legal documentation.
- Monitor existing credits, attending Board meetings as an observer.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Possess 10+ years of overall experience, with 6-10+ years at a buy-side credit/direct lending fund, leverage finance, or debt capital markets within an investment bank. Relevant sponsor coverage experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrate considerable deal execution experience with a proven ability to drive the deal process.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, capable of interacting with sponsors, management teams, and spearheading negotiations,
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel.
