Our client is a boutique trust company with several offices globally. They are looking for a Deputy General Manager to join their Hong Kong office in a new role.
You will be responsible for supporting the Director in the daily operations of the Hong Kong office, whilst also occasionally supervising Group Senior Management.
Other duties may include:
Accounting and Finance
- Accounting and bank account opening function
- preparing quarterly management accounts for Group Finance.
Compliance and Governance
- Appointment as Compliance Officer for the trust company operating business and updating of AML Client KYC policies.
- Management support in overall HK compliance function (operations and services)
HR, IT & General Management
- Assume internal payroll & MPF administration, including Employer's Return
- Group HR liaison to formalize / update internal employee procedures (staff evaluation, expense policy, employee engagement documents)
Requirements
- HKCPA (or equivalent) with 8+ years employment at senior positions in professional service sector (accounting, trust, co-sec or fund admin providers) with decision-making capacity and board level reporting.
- Knowledgeable in operating & reporting regulations relevant to governing TCSP services (current Hong Kong / international) with some familiarity in SFC and various IBC jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and new legal or regulatory requirements.
- Experience in organizational workflow / network development for change requirements due to growth or regulation.
