Currently working with a rapidly growing bank in Headquartered in Baltimore Maryland, which manages around $5 billion in AUM. Currently they are searching for a CRO where the role provides critical leadership in overseeing the audit, CRA/compliance, and risk functions of the bank.
Responsibilities include maintaining the Bank's enterprise risk management (ERM) program, planning and staffing the risk management team, reviewing risk assessments, implementing the ERM program, and coordinating regulatory internal audits. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance the Bank's risk management, compliance, and overall success through strategic oversight and leadership
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual risk assessment methodology, internal audit risk assessment, and audit plan for comprehensive coverage of internal controls and compliance.
- Collaborate with management to identify and evaluate organizational risks.
- Provide executive-level reports to management and the board of directors.
- Establish and maintain the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management System.
- Review and evaluate the Bank's policies to ensure robust internal controls and effective risk management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building and supporting risk management programs.
- Preferred experience at a $10 billion bank.
- Extensive knowledge of banking regulations and requirements for financial institutions.
- Thorough understanding of internal controls, internal audit principles, and risk management concepts.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
