Selby Jennings is partnered with a high-performing regional bank as they near the $100B AUM mark. The firm is proactively evolving their risk frameworks across the board to be compliant with LFI standards. This position is only 2 steps down from the Chief Risk Officer and provides high visibility. You will play a critical role in helping inform the Sr. Director of Strategic/Reputational Risk, the CRO, and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in the Bank's actions and decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Improve and formalize reporting procedures for risk committees/boards, emphasizing accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
- Advance risk governance by enhancing the clarity and utility of reports while maintaining comprehensive, focused agendas.
- Implement enterprise-wide processes for identifying and assessing risks, ensuring alignment and coherence between top-down and bottom-up approaches, as well as quarterly and annual assessments.
- Administer risk committee tasks, including agenda coordination, meeting minutes, follow-ups, and charter reviews.
- Continuously oversee and challenge Strategic and Reputational Risk RCSAs, issues, and Risk Appetite levels/KRIs.
- Strengthen, implement, and document Strategic Risk management initiatives such as Strategic Plan Risk Assessment, monitoring of plan implementation, reporting on top and emerging risks, and KRI development and monitoring for committee/board purposes.
- Enhance, operationalize, and document Reputational Risk management initiatives including client/vendor selection, KRI development and monitoring, and reporting for committee/board purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 12 years+ of experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Accounting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory obligations, rules, and industry standards
- Experience with enterprise-wide change management initiatives
