Senior Specialist Risk Controller / Risk Manager (m/d/f)
Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Specialist Risk Controller / Risk Manager for a leading financial services company based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveillance and Control of Market, Liquidity, and Credit Risks: Continuously monitor and oversee the risks linked to financial market dynamics, liquidity fluctuations, and credit exposures.
- Contribution to Defining and Quantifying the Bank's Risk Capacity (ICAAP): Participate in determining the bank's internal capital adequacy assessment process, specifying the institution's risk tolerance and capital requirements.
- Development and Validation of Risk Models: Create and authenticate mathematical models used for evaluating various risks, ensuring their accuracy and reliability
- Adherence to Regulatory Requirements for Risk Management: Implement and ensure the bank's compliance with regulatory standards pertaining to risk management.
- Preparation and Assessment of Stress Tests: Design, execute, and analyze stress tests to gauge the bank's performance under adverse economic conditions.
- Provision of Risk Reporting, Both Internally and Externally: Generate and disseminate risk-related reports and data within the bank and to external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in business administration, economics, computer science, mathematics, or finance
- Initial Professional Experience and/or a Keen Interest in Banking and Finance
- Proficiency in Data Analysis and a Love for Numbers: Given the quantitative nature of the role, candidates should be comfortable working with data, conducting financial analysis, and solving complex problems.
- Adeptness with MS Office Applications, Especially Excel: Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is crucial for data analysis and reporting.
- Desirable Programming Skills: While not obligatory, familiarity with programming languages, such as Python or R, can be beneficial for data analysis and model development.
- Fluency in English necessary, German useful but not necessary
Responsibilities

Qualifications

- Initial work experience or interest in banking/finance
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with numbers
- Experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Ideally some programming skills
- English proficiency necessary, German is useful but not necessary
