Responsibilities:
Financial and Management Accounting
- Ensure all accounting entries are done in time and in line with group accounting standards for management accounting purposes (German GAAP) and local accounting standards, IFRS for statutory requirements.
- Reviewing Financial statements and analysis on the results and performance of the entities
- Review monthly and yearly consolidation of financial statements of the group in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with Finance SOPs, all financial policies and procedures across all entities , performing quarterly review
- Manage the preparation of the company's forecast and budget, collaborating with all 4 entities for the budget inputs and consolidating budget for Boards approval
- Reviewing financial stock accounting with the teams in Vietnam and India for computation and compliance to valuation and methodology
- Lead and support the entities on Tally ERP systems project implementation
Year End Close/Month End Close
- Ensure all accounting entries are done in time within the correct accounting period for hard close and year end audit
- Manage the period end timetable and liaise with other teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure all financial reporting for monthly, Hard close and yearly are prepared and submitted in a timely manner, in accordance to IFRS and German GAAP to company.
- Planning and co-ordinating external audit schedules and timelines as one of the main point of liaison with EY local, EY Germany and company.
- Responsibility for developing and monitoring KPIs to deliver the forecasts.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly and annual basis
- Yearly review of policies and agreements with current laws and regulations and adapting to implemented changes
Tax
- Ensure all corporate tax reports are filed in cooperation with the tax consultants in time and in line with all legal requirements for Singapore
- Ensure all tax requirements and obligations are filed and reported in accordance to local legislation for Vietnam and India
- Reviewing and consolidating quarterly tax reporting for Singapore, Vietnam and India entity
- Review monthly and quarterly workings with Transfer Price consultants and report to
- Ensure compliance to Global Transfer Pricing policy for all entities in Singapore, Vietnam, and India
- Ensure all documents are prepared within agreed Transfer Price guidelines and filed with the respective countries
Treasury
- Manage cash flow planning and forecasting overview in TIP
- Monitor cashflow movements and requirements for all entities
- Oversee the financing requirements and manage the banking and borrowing for the organisation
- Managing treasury operations and controls (cash pooling/sweeping, forex hedging )
Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
- Review monthly financial performance reported to company, ensure reporting is done accurately and on time
- Review cost analysis reports monthly and present to the Board
- Insightful analysis of the period end results including executive summaries
- Preparing monthly Board presentations, evaluating performance and business issues, highlighting risk and opportunities
Others
- Provide financial analysis to provide clarity and understanding of performance information
- Ensure reporting controls are robust and systems integrity remains at the highest possible standard
- Ensure reporting structures and tools are aligned with business requirements
- Ensure commercial reporting standard reports are aligned with requirements
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Drive process improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Ad hoc project work and support to the Finance Director and Board as required
- Any other activities as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Preferable: University degree (CIMA / ACCA or ACA) / MBA, finance, and accounting
- 6 - 8 Years of experience within financial environment
- 4 - 5 Years of proven Management Accounting experience
- CA qualifications
- Excellent Excel skills, good Word and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge in Tally ERP system
- Fluent in English and Indian languages (not essential)
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Regulations (Singapore, German GAAP, IFRS)
- Fundamentals of reporting statements and their interdependencies need to be understood - Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Profit and Loss
- Business and Financial Analysis methodology
- A high level of IT competency is needed to understand, utilize, implement financial systems
