Our client, a leading commercial bank, is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Controller for their team in Düsseldorf. As the Senior Credit Risk Controller, you will be responsible for internal credit risk reporting, supporting the creation of this reporting at a consolidated European level, and taking on significant responsibility in internal projects to implement new regulatory or internal requirements, especially in collaboration with the European/global parent company.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for internal credit risk reporting as part of regular processes to specific committees and management
- Support the creation of this reporting at a consolidated European level
- Central contact for credit risk management regarding internal and external issues or requests for monitoring and reporting
- Take on significant responsibility in internal projects to implement new regulatory or internal requirements, especially in collaboration with the European/global parent company
- Carry out ad hoc analyzes on selected credit risk topics
Qualifications:
- A completed university degree in (business) mathematics, physics or economics with a quantitative focus (alternatively: with a focus on banking or financing)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the framework of MaRisk and CRR/CRD IV
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
Skills:
- In-depth PC knowledge (MS Excel, Power Point) requires good knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL Server) combined with experience in SAS and/or Python or a high level of motivation to acquire these
- A quick comprehension and strong analytical skills
- A high level of motivation, independence and initiative
- Ability to work in a team and the willingness to take on immediate responsibility
