Core Responsibilities:
- Assessment of client companies, transactions, competitive threats and other factors
- Lead and/or participate in client due diligence meetings
- Attend client, bank, and other meetings to develop a better understanding of client companies, management teams, and industry sectors
- Use financial models to view and incorporate risk assessment on key value drivers
- Prepare and review credit approval materials
- Review and negotiate legal documentation
- Provide a well-researched risk assessments
- Analyze, prepare, and present for approval all required waivers, amendments, and extensions
- Prepare and present annual portfolio review to senior management
- Assist in training analysts
- Work with bank examiners and internal credit reviewers to validate credit quality
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- Strong knowledge in credit, lending, negotiation, loan documentation
- Financial modeling skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Completion of a commercial/investment bank credit training program or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of commercial/investment banking lending experience including extensive credit, structuring, and marketing
