Your role
One of key focus areas is portfolio regulatory readiness; ensuring proper understanding of regulatory impact across businesses, identification of opportunities stemming from regulations, and initiating product and/or business model changes. In this role, you will report to the Head of Credit Portfolio Group
As a Regulatory Expert you will:
- Shape the future WB asset portfolio composition and profitability by ensuring its regulatory readiness:
- Participate in defining portfolio strategy by bringing regulatory expertise
- Provide insights into the portfolio; drive understanding of the impact of upcoming regulations on the portfolio, identify key impact drivers, define possible optimization levers/reaction strategies
- Participate in framing decisions re. WB rating systems, taking into account RWA development, risk movement, business impact
- Lead ideation efforts re. possible strategies to regulatory changes across the products and businesses
- Represent WB in Group-wide regulatory projects, oversee and lead some of the WB-related projects
- Build awareness re. the regulatory environment in the business; lead educational efforts across global WB
- Manage WB lobbying agenda and coordinate the efforts across the businesses
- Support FO in addressing challenges arising from regulations (a.o. complex transactional advice)
Job requirements
We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and experience:
- Expertise in credit risk regulations (CRR/CRD IV, EBA standards) and policies
- Understanding and knowledge of credit risk model methodology and key concepts (e.g. PD, EAD, LGD)
- Good understanding of Wholesale Lending products
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with (large sets) risk data, experience or intrinsic to learn SAS fast
- "Make it happen" mindset and track record
- Top-down problem-solving skills, structuring skills, ability to deal with ambiguity
- Good communicator - ability to take knowledge from experts, make complex simple and convey the message in a convincing way to stakeholders with very diverse backgrounds and at all levels in the organisation
- Ability to bring E2E stakeholders and drive decisions outside of hierarchical sphere of influence
