Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated P&C Actuarial Manager who will play a crucial role in our actuarial team, focusing on both personal and commercial lines of insurance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, actuarial expertise, and excellent leadership abilities. As a P&C Actuarial Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of actuaries, analyzing complex data, and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions and enhance our insurance offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of actuaries, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage professional growth and development.
Actuarial Analysis:
- Analyze data related to personal and commercial lines of insurance to assess risk, pricing, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to evaluate insurance products and pricing strategies.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including state insurance regulations and reporting standards.
- Stay updated with changes in the insurance regulatory environment and implement necessary adjustments.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to product development, pricing, and underwriting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with underwriters, claims specialists, and other departments to enhance overall business performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or FCAS (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designation is required.
- Strong experience in both personal and commercial lines of insurance.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial modeling software.
