Key Responsibilities:
Manage monitoring system
Handle faults and escalation (identify and respond to faults on the firm's systems and networks, liaise with 3rd party suppliers, handle escalation through to resolution)
Support tier-3 network services (Manage Authorization and Authentication services and processes, network accesses, VLANsโฆ)
Accommodate for provisioning (IP assignment, core network configuration, FTP accounts and other network services)
Install, upgrade applications and network equipment
Assist in facilities provisioning (install racks, set up power, install Ethernet, fiber and console cabling)
Maintain technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations
Requirements:
3 to 5 years' experience in a Technical Support or similar role.
Experience working within a NOC (Network Operations Center) or ISP environment is a plus.
Experience in using network monitoring software (PRTG, SNMP based ...) is a plus
Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting IT systems and networking systems
Knowledge of the OSI model
Switching and Internet routing technologies
Very good understanding of systems and networks
Experience in scripting languages (bash, ansible, pythonโฆ) is a plus
Must be fluent in English
