Company Overview
Our client is one of the well established Trust and Corporate Service Provider. They are looking for a head of compliance to lead the Compliance team in Hong Kong for MLRO mandate.
Main duties:
- Working with other internal compliance departments globally
- Directing internal investigations and acting as MLRO
- Drafting due diligence reports on new and existing clients in accordance with AML procedures
- Investigating the background of new clients and drafting risk reviews through the use of Worldcheck and internet searches;
- Ongoing compliance reviews of company files;
- Assisting with the implementation of FATCA and CRS procedures and co-ordinating with other Group offices;
- Assisting in-house lawyers with adhoc client cases - drafting reports and conducting enhanced due diligence when required;
- Provide AML training to all staff and supervising relevant staff on due diligence procedures;
- Reviewing payment instructions and incoming credit advices to identify potential suspicious transactions in line with AML procedures
- Develop and promote compliance processes and guidelines as per relevant regional regulations and group policy
- Monitoring and enhancing AML policies & procedures
- Conduct sanctions screening where necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in relatable major
- ACAMS, CPA/legal qualifications preferred
- Understanding of anti-money laundering and Compliance regulations within the banking/financial services industry/TCSP industry
- Broad understanding of different types of industries
- Proven track record of complex problem solving and decision-making ability
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective leader and team player, self-starter
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent command of the English language. Chinese an advantage
