Deputy Controller Responsibilities:
- Provides expert advice on financial aspects of the business, including strategic planning, analysis of project and contract financial data, assessment of business and financial risks, and resolution of financial issues.
- Contributes to the creation and enforcement of financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Oversees cash flow, budgeting, and financial performance metrics to aid in informed decision-making.
- Manages general ledger accounting functions, including processing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and overseeing the month-end closing procedures.
- Evaluates and analyzes financial transactions to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Offers leadership and guidance to staff on financial matters while supporting their professional growth and development.
Deputy Controller Qualifications:
- 4+ Years of relevant accounting experience with Bachelor's Degree
- CFA Certification or CPA Candidate in process of obtaining certification
- Experience in Government Accounting is strongly preferred
