A growing, top-performing hedge fund which spun out of a prestigious name a few years back, is looking to hire a Business Development Director to take control of the distribution and relationship management. The hedge fund specialises in long/short equities with a focus on the healthcare space and is regulated in the UK.
They are looking to capitalise on strong performance, and a prestigious investor team, by bringing on an exceptional candidate who ideally has experience growing a smaller hedge fund with a similar strategy.
Responsibilities
- To increase assets under management (AUM) by the followingโฆ
- Initially to take over client pipeline and work on getting tickets over the line.
- To create the business development and marketing strategy for the fund alongside the CEO and COO.
- To focus on networking with clients willing to invest in hedge funds sub-200m.
- Moving forward, to build out strong relationships with the leading institutional clients across Europe and the US.
- To have a desire to travel to new and existing territories and to build-out an institutional and wholesale client bases.
- To give expertise to help develop marketing materials, websites, due diligence and social network platform marketing.
Requirements
- To have 10+ (or equivalent) years experience in business development.
- To have successful raised extensive capital in the hedge fund equities space, and a strong network of client that can invest in hedge funds of all sizes.
- Additional experience with healthcare products will be seen as a huge bonus
- A strong desire to travel and meet investors.
- To have demonstrated loyalty to previous firms.
