Asset Management Associate
A full-service, vertically-integrated real estate investments firm is looking for an asset management associate to join their team. Their primary portfolio focus is Class A office assets, but they have expanded into multifamily asset types as well. We are seeking a motivated Associate to join our team, primarily focusing on asset management with some involvement in acquisitions. This role is ideal for a proactive self-starter with 1-3 years of experience in asset management or acquisitions, particularly within office properties. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members and will be responsible for managing assets across the Carolinas and Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with property management teams to maintain company standards
- Ability to underwrite new acquisitions, and assist with the acquisitions process
- Asset Management (85%): Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of Class A and B office properties and multifamily assets. This includes underwriting, modeling, and implementing business plans.
- Acquisitions (15%): Support acquisition activities and gain exposure to the acquisition process. This role will eventually transition into a 50/50 split
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and stay on task
- Strong financial modeling experience and experience creating business plans following through to completion
- Attention to detail and a passion for learning
- Strong experience with Argus, financial modeling, and underwriting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-3+ years of experience in asset management, specifically with office assets
- Underwriting, financial modeling, and Argus experience
- Some Acquisitions experience or knowledge
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience multitasking with the ability to follow through to completion
