I'm currently representing an international bank in Hong Kong which is one of the biggest lenders in Asia. They're urgently looking to add a junior to their Acquisition Finance team, ideally someone who's had experience within LBO transactions in APAC.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior members in executing acquisition financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts (LBOs) backed by private equity sponsors
- Conduct credit and financial analysis, review due diligence materials, and draft term sheets
- Prepare credit memos, financial models, valuation analyses, and credit rating applications (including cash flow modelling and valuation)
- Support senior members in originating acquisition financing transactions, including LBOs, by developing financing proposals, teasers, and market analyses
- Build relationships with the bank's junior relationship managers in the main branches and contribute to generating deal ideas by tracking M&A activities in the region
- Maintain the internal transaction database
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the bank's internal policies and guidelines
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by managers
Required Competencies:
- Self-motivated individual with strong written and oral communication skills, who enjoys building internal and external networks and jointly developing client solutions and ideas
- Strong analytic skills and proficiency in complex financial modelling, including for M&A, LBO, discounted cash flow (DCF), and comparable valuation analysis
- Ability to build good working relationships with team members and other stakeholders, and effectively collaborate to achieve team goals
