The firm delivers best-in-class data solutions to institutional investors, asset managers, and private market participants, enabling data-driven investment decisions.
Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Director will be responsible for expanding the firm's client base, driving revenue growth, and positioning its index and benchmarking solutions within the buy-side community. This is a high-impact role requiring deep market expertise, a consultative sales approach, and a strong network within asset management, hedge funds, private equity, and other financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new business and revenue growth across the US and UK markets.
Build and manage relationships with key buy-side clients, including institutional investors, asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms.
Identify client needs and position the firm's index and benchmarking solutions as integral to their investment processes.
Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through to negotiation and closing.
Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and research, to refine offerings and ensure market fit.
Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand presence and thought leadership.
Key Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within financial data, index solutions, or benchmarking services.
Proven track record of selling data solutions to buy-side clients, particularly in private assets and scientific infrastructure.
Strong network within institutional investors, hedge funds, private equity, and asset managers.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to selling.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic and competitive environment.
Familiarity with ESG, alternative investments, or private markets data is a plus.
