Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Construction
- Assist in the management and allocation of capital within a public equities portfolio.
- Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and risk assessment.
- Support decision-making for position sizing, entry/exit strategies, and hedging.
Investment Research & Analysis
- Perform fundamental and quantitative research across multiple sectors and geographies.
- Analyze financial statements, company reports, and industry trends to identify investment opportunities.
- Stay updated on macro trends, geopolitical risks, and market dynamics impacting equities.
- Generate and present investment theses with buy/sell/hold recommendations.
Trading & Execution
- Work closely with the trading desk to execute trades efficiently.
- Monitor real-time market movements and adjust positions as necessary.
- Track liquidity, bid-ask spreads, and market impact of trades.
Risk & Performance Management
- Assess portfolio volatility, drawdowns, and correlation risks.
- Contribute to scenario analysis, stress testing, and portfolio optimization.
- Ensure adherence to investment guidelines, regulatory compliance, and risk limits.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Prepare and present investment reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with research teams, traders, and risk managers.
- Contribute to the firm's overall investment strategy discussions.
