We are working with a global financial services firm to seek a highly skilled and driven professional to become part of the global Security Team, as well as the first Security Engineer in China. In this position, you will work closely with senior management to develop and oversee secure technologies, ensuring that technical standards, requirements, and architecture are uniformly applied throughout operations in China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee security solutions.
• Promote and nurture a culture of security and engineering excellence.
• Investigate and develop solutions for new security trends that could affect the organization.
• Support other teams in tackling intricate security engineering issues.
• Ensure adherence to relevant local laws and regulations concerning security.
• Work independently while effectively collaborating with remote colleagues.
• Liaise with regulators on security audits, inspections, or related reporting assignments.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline, or comparable professional experience.
• Proficiency in Mandarin, with the capacity to convey both business and technical information in English; excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
• Over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or other scripting languages
• Experience in deploying security tools and configurations.
• Understanding of architecture reviews and the formulation of security requirements.
