Role Overview: As the Director of Debt Advisory, you will help lead the debt advisory practice within the financial services sector. You will be responsible for providing strategic debt financing solutions to optimise clients' balance sheets and secure the optimal funding for their business growth and stability. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help manage the debt advisory team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic debt advisory solutions tailored to the financial services sector.
  • Advise clients on a range of debt financing options, including mergers, acquisitions, growth capital, recapitalizations, refinancings, and restructurings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, including commercial banks, alternative lenders, and private institutions.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to provide clients with the most relevant and effective advice.
  • Collaborate with other service lines within the firm to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional qualification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in debt advisory, particularly within the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of debt financing products and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
