Job Description: As a Defined Benefit Consultant, you will play a crucial role in advising our clients on their defined benefit pension plans. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, conducting actuarial valuations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help our clients optimize their pension plans and achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of business, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimizing rushes by requesting and following up on necessary data and documents.
  • Assign tasks in Workflow, manage due dates with clients and specialists, and monitor Workflow reports for routine follow-up tasks.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and TPAs, ensuring their needs are met and managing changes in client expectations and firm changes.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, advisors, CPAs, and attorneys, providing solutions to consulting and strategic issues and maintaining high client satisfaction ratings

Supervision:

  • Reports to Director, Client Development

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Defined Benefit experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with ERISA compliance
  • Experience with PBGC Filings, Cash Balance plans, Actuarial Report Consulting and Funding
  • Skills with financial data, problem solving and compliance
  • Good communication skills, problem solving and experience mentoring/leading a team is a plus
