The VP will focus on business development, originating bespoke financing structures, managing risk, and overseeing the credit portfolio. Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and knowledge of the specialty finance industry are essential. Responsibilities:
Deal sourcing: Identify and connect with emerging companies.
Investment memos: Draft comprehensive memos addressing key topics/risks.
Due diligence: Lead commercial due diligence and manage documentation.
Credit analysis: Underwrite investments using collateral-specific credit analyses.
Loan tapes: Evaluate loan tapes for credit analysis.
Financial statement analysis: Expertise in analyzing financial statements.
Data handling: Work fluently with diverse datasets.
Portfolio monitoring: Ensure accurate reporting and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
5-7 years of experience in structured finance or private credit.
Strong credit underwriting and accounting knowledge.
Fintech and specialty finance network.
Advanced Excel skills (Alteryx a plus)
